Brady Peterson, a 4th grader at Otay Ranch Academy for the Arts (ORAA), loves running. He said, “I run all the time. I created a running club at school, and made myself CEO and president.”
His mother, Kimberly Peterson, said, he runs for “de-stressing.” She continued, “Starting the running club at school gave him a leadership role and responsibility that encouraged his entrepreneurship ideas.”
Brady lives in Chula Vista, and was part of the inaugural ORAA class. His favorite subjects are math and science. The program has worked well for him. He said, “I like that it is project-based, and that I get to take on leadership roles. I really enjoy all the arts in the school.”
In addition to running, he likes gymnastics, fishing, swimming, flag football, Legos, Pokémon and chess. One day, he hopes to either own a business or be part of the fire department.
