Springs Montessori Voyage and Virtual Academy families have participated in back-to-school night, parent educational sessions, and park day so far this year. With a field trip or park day available every month, students practice social skills such as negotiating, fairness, and communication.
“If we want to develop global citizens, we have to show them the world,” believes Principal Lanise Goosby. “In our virtual programs, students from different ability groups, communities, ethnicities, genders, and socioeconomic groups learn together, play together, and share life. Geographical boundaries do not limit these little people. They are coming to know a world beyond their immediate surroundings and will be global citizens who will change the world.”
