Rylie Shedeed, a 9th-grade student in the KEYS program, is a gifted dancer. She dances at Dunamix Dance Project in Temecula three times per week, or five days a week when she’s involved in a production.
Productions with which she has recently been involved include The First Noel, the Christmas story told through dance. Her upcoming productions include The Invitation, which, Rylie explained, “is about a girl getting accepted into a big ballet school and finding God along the way.” The 14-year-old’s main genre is hip hop, but she also enjoys ballet and jazz. She began dancing at age 9.
Rylie joined the KEYS program to give her the ability to focus more time on her dancing. Her Education Specialist, Summer Knapp, described Rylie as “hard-working, respectful, and kind” as well as a “dedicated dancer.”
Rylie is also active in her church and likes fashion. Rylie said, “I love shopping and I also like designing different kinds of clothing.”
