IMPACT Meeting, Aloha Luau Day

Springs held its 4th annual IMPACT (Individualized Mentors and Professional Administrative Coaching and Training) meeting for 225 non-instructional support staff at Springs’ event center in Temecula. Monica Strain, HR manager-training & professional development who helped organize the event, said, “The IMPACT meeting was a great day of inspiration, learning, and connection.”

Participants listened to speakers on topics such as work health, leadership, state of the schools, and “Building Culture Through Lifting Each Other.” The keynote speaker was Megan Bunnell who presented on “Defining YOU as a Leader.” The day included charter school history bingo and a grand prize giveaway of two iPads.

IMPACT is a staff development program for non-instructional employees such as receptionists and administrative assistants designed to help them do their jobs better and to help them develop skills to advance professionally. Springs staff created the program four years ago at the request of employees seeking opportunities for growth.

In other staff development news, Springs held an Aloha Luau Day for 145 new employees (hired since August 1, 2024). The day was an opportunity to welcome staff, orient them to core values, and equip them with valuable insights as they begin their journey with Springs Nation.
