Cyborg Zombies Compete at Orange County Regional

Temecula Student Center’s FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics team, Cyborg Zombies, participated in the Orange County Regional Competition during March 22nd through March 24th. This was the first year since the team’s inception that they went to competition without a working robot and there were a lot of tasks that needed to be completed before the team could compete. The various mechanisms had to be completed so that they were operational and then the robot needed to pass inspection so that the team could compete.

The Cyborg Zombies robotics team is in a transitional phase. During the last two years, most of our team has graduated and moved on to pursue engineering and mathematics degrees. We are looking for the next generation Zombies to continue our tradition as an award-winning FIRST robotics team. All Springs students are welcome to join our robotics program. Please don’t hesitate to contact Coach Derrick (derrick.essel@springscs.org) for more information.
