Construction on FAPA Facility Nears Completion

Construction of a permanent facility for Springs’ Flabob Airport Preparatory Academy (FAPA) is making progress, reported principal Robin Davis, with an office and 10 classrooms having been completed and work on a hangar and installation of plumbing underway.  Inspections will follow once the work is complete, and the building is expected to be ready for occupancy by January.

FAPA is a Springs program held at Flabob Airport, which has aviation as a focus for students.  It serves grades 6-12, emphasizing personalized learning with a multi-faceted approach to teaching.  The high school program offers Springs’ vision of a Global Transitions Program, specializing in transportation technology, travel and cultures and the science that connects the world.  About 130 students are anticipated to be attending the school when classes begin in August.
