Connections Academy at Springs, an online independent study program, has begun its association with Springs this school year serving more than 500 students in grades K-10, reported Principal Laurie Campbell. Laurie said that the program serves families in Southern California, connecting students with certified teachers and a “high-quality” curriculum.
The Connections Academy curriculum was created by Pearson Education and has a long record of success, Laurie shared, and requires a lesser commitment by parents/guardians of the students overseeing their children’s education. It’s been a good fit for athletes in need of schedule flexibility so that they can compete, she continued, as well as for students who have not been successful in a traditional classroom environment. Students are given daily assignments which are assessed by teachers; there is also an option to participate in live lessons online.
The program is open to Southern California students. Space is still available, but limited Click here for additional information: California Online School – Springs Connections Academy.
