The staff of Springs Charter Schools is pleased to announce that its petition to the California Department of Education (CDE) for the establishment of Vista Springs Charter School (VSCS) has been approved.
The school offers multiple programs, including its La Fuente Spanish/English Dual Immersion Academy for grades K-8, a K-8 hybrid program, K-12 Homeschool and 9-12 independent study option. In approving the petition, the CDE board agreed with its staff findings that VSCS offered a sound educational program that is likely to implement successfully.
VSCS will operate the Vista Student Center, 700 E. Bobier Ave., Vista. The Center has 12 classrooms, a multi-purpose room, gym, kitchen, playground and outdoor green space.
“We’re delighted that our petition for Vista Springs Charter School has been approved,” said Kathleen Hermsmeyer, Springs’ superintendent. “We believe our programs have much to offer students, and look forward to a bright future in the Vista community.”
