Students in Springs’ Keys College and Career Prep visited Santa Ana College (SAC) to learn about college majors, certificate programs, and careers in which there was a shortage of workers. They heard presentations from professors in four different areas: fashion design, automotive, transit electronic bus, and technology & AI.
The students learned, for example, that there was a shortage of qualified employees working with transit electric buses, and that the students could earn as much as $150,000 annually in the field. The fashion design teacher noted that California is a hub for mass fashion and that computer programs have changed the face of clothing design.
