Springs’ Empower Academy has opened in Smyrna, Tennessee with nearly 200 students K-5, reported Principal Shane Wickwire. The school is temporarily being housed at the Boys and Girls Club of Smyrna while construction on the school’s permanent building is underway.

This is Springs’ first school site outside of California and was opened, said Superintendent Kathleen Hermsmeyer, because “we believe in Springs’ model of education, which emphasizes personalized learning and empowering our students and families to make their own decisions about their children’s education.”
The school has been approved to accept up to 800 students grades K-8.
