Adventurous learning awaits students and families aboard the Midway.
Imagine experiencing nearly 50 years of world history aboard the longest-serving Navy aircraft carrier of the 20th century. Memories will be made as you enter a floating city at sea and walk in the footsteps of 225,000 Midway sailors who served our country and upheld the American ideals of strength, freedom, and peace.
The self-guided audio tour, narrated by Midway sailors, brings the carrier’s history to life as you explore more than 60 exhibits with a collection of 29 restored aircraft. Especially popular are the museum docents you’ll meet throughout the ship. Each is eager to share a personal story, an anecdote, or amazing statistic, adding to your amazement throughout your adventure.
On the 18th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, there will be a special remembrance event pay tribute and honor our fallen heroes, keeping our promise to “Never Forget.”

Important Information:
- No late registrations or refunds will be processed after the closing date. No Exceptions
- Special Guidelines: No use of membership passes, children 4 and under are free.
- Space is limited; first serve.
- The program ends at 5 p.m.
- Parking: Parking lot & meters (Cost varies, subject to change)
- All Students must be accompanied by a registered adult.
- Note: If you have multiple Homeschool students, each Homeschool student must be registered for all Field Trips using their own designated flex fund account. Any duplicate orders for the same field trip on one student’s account will not be allowed.
- Field Trip Photography Disclaimer: Please be advised that photographs will be taken at this event for possible use on the SCS website, marketing materials, and/or all other SCS publications. If you do not want you or your child to be photographed please advise the Field Trip Coordinator.
- How to Cancel: Forward your registration confirmation email receipt to field.trips@springscs.org with a detailed notation to cancel by the deadline date indicated on each field trip.
