Tanaka Farms

Through fun and educational tours, Tanaka Farms is a great way to expose students to local agriculture, farm practices, plants, and product and farm economics. Farm to Table help students identify nutritious, wholesome food and encourage them to connect with the agricultural heritage of California.

Tour activities include:

  • Wagon ride around the 30 acres of working farm where you will learn about the farm, the fields, and the history of the Tanaka family
  • Pick-Your-Own pumpkin ( up to 20 lbs. Children must be able to carry it out on their own)
  • Farm Table lunch (12 pm-1 pm) which includes: Your choice of Turkey Sandwich (Turkey, Lettuce, Tomato, Cheese) OR Vegan Veggie Wrap (quantities limited) (Tortilla, Seasonal Veggies, Vegan Dressing) and farm-fresh fruit, farm-fresh crudite, ranch cup, a bag of chips, and a bottle of water
  • Access to the Barnyard Educational Exhibit
  • Produce market stand on-site (optional)

Additional field trip details: 

  • Toddlers (age two and under do not receive picked items) 

Important Information:

  • No late registrations or refunds will be processed after the closing date. No Exceptions
  • Special Guidelines: No use of membership passes
  • Space is limited, first come, first serve.
  • Students must be accompanied by a registered adult.
  • Note: If you have multiple Homeschool students, each Homeschool student must be registered for all Field Trips using their own designated flex fund account. Any duplicate orders for the same field trip on one student’s account will not be allowed.

Field Trip Photography Disclaimer: “Please be advised that photographs will be taken at this event for possible use on the SCS website, marketing materials, and/or all other SCS publications. Please inform the Field Trip Coordinator if you do not want your child to be photographed.

How to Cancel: Forward your registration confirmation email receipt to carmelina.rosales@springscs.org with a detailed notation to cancel by the deadline date indicated on each field trip.
