“Young People’s Concert” – Beat Quest
A Musical Journey through Rhythm, Time, and Place

Music is a passport that can take our imagination to a certain time and place. From swingin’ jazz to the “Habanera” from Carmen, to Beethoven’s symphonies, we’ll explore how these beats came to be, and how distinctive rhythms transport us to cities like Vienna, Seville, and New Orleans.

Important Information:
- No late registrations or refunds will be processed after the closing date. No Exceptions
- Special Guidelines: Space is limited; first serve. Recommended for grades 2nd-8th; however, open to all grades. No small children or strollers. No use of membership passes.
- Parking: There is plenty of self-paid parking available downtown around Copley Symphony Hall. Surface parking lots are located at 8th and 9th Avenues nearby, and there is a lot of metered street parking near Copley Symphony Hall (Subject to change).
- All Students must be accompanied by a registered adult through PayPal.
- Note: If you have multiple Homeschool students, each Homeschool student must be registered for all Field Trips using their own designated flex fund account. Any duplicate orders for the same field trip on one student’s account will not be allowed.
- Field Trip Photography Disclaimer: “Please be advised that photographs will be taken at this event for possible use on the SCS website, marketing materials, and/or all other SCS publications. If you do not want you or your child to be photographed please advise the Field Trip Coordinator.
- How to Cancel: Forward your registration confirmation email receipt to field.trips@springscs.org with a detailed notation to cancel by the deadline date indicated on each field trip.
