Pretend City

Pretend City offers fun, educational, and hands-on play for preschool – 2nd graders but great fun for older kids as well!
Learn all about community helpers and what it takes to build a community. Your students will learn the importance of each role and how they function in our society in this engaging field trip.
Unstructured, child-directed play is a critical component of healthy social, emotional, and intellectual development.

• Encourages sharing, collaborating, and interpersonal communication
• Challenges children to be creative
• Increase their frustration tolerance
• Develops leadership skills as children work to resolve disagreements.

Through 17 interactive exhibits and activities guided by a highly trained professional staff, children learn foundational math, reading and science skills, while fostering curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, organization, teamwork, self-confidence, and socialization.

Important Information:

  • No late registrations or refunds will be processed after the closing date. No Exceptions
  • Special Guidelines: Space is limited; first serve basis. No use of membership passes.
  • Recommended for grades 6th-12th; however, open to 3rd and up, parental discretion is advised.
  • Program is 4.5 hours (30-minute lunch in between programs)
  • All Students must be accompanied by a registered adult through PayPal.
  • Note: If you have multiple Homeschool students, each Homeschool student must be registered for all Field Trips using their own designated flex fund account. Any duplicate orders for the same field trip on one student’s account will not be allowed.
  • Field Trip Photography Disclaimer: “Please be advised that photographs will be taken at this event for possible use on the SCS website, marketing materials, and/or all other SCS publications. If you do not want you or your child to be photographed please advise the Field Trip Coordinator.
  • How to Cancel: Forward your registration confirmation email receipt to field.trips@springscs.org with a detailed notation to cancel by the deadline date indicated on each field trip.
