Santa Rosa Plateau will be in full bloom in the Spring. Don’t miss this beautiful educational opportunity to join the trained docents who will lead our families in an outdoor nature experience. Students will learn about plants, animals and human history of the reserve, seasonal changes, photosynthesis, plant life cycles, food webs, types of adaptations, and area geology. This field trip is for students 3rd grade and older.

We will begin with a tour through the Printing Museum’s extensive collection of working machinery where you will experience the development of the arts and technologies used to transmit ideas, including writing, paper making, printing and bookbinding.
We will begin our morning in The Heikoff Giant Dome Theater for a presentation of the Great Bear Rainforest which tells the story of one of the rarest animals on Earth – the fabled all-white Spirit Bear – and its ancient forest home.
