This Homeschool Day, La Brea is joining up with their Mobile Museums team to explore how archaeology and paleontology can help us uncover the mysteries of the past. Excavate aboard the Mobile Museums Archaeology Experience truck before touring the La Brea Tar Pits: the largest active urban paleontological site in the world.
They may offer special experiences and programs in the mornings on Homeschool Days.
To pick up tickets for these special program experiences, check in with a La Brea Tar Pits School Programs representative at the Welcome Table when you arrive. Tickets will be free and distributed on a first-come,
first-served basis.
LUNCH & SNACK
You may bring a lunch safely secured in a backpack, however, they ask that all food (except water and baby formula) be consumed outside the facility. You are invited to picnic in Hancock Park, or on the picnic benches in front of the museum. You will also notice lots of restaurants right nearby on Wilshire Boulevard.
Important Information:
- No late registrations or refunds will be processed after the closing date. No Exceptions
- Recommended for grades TK-5th. However, open to all grades.
- Special Guidelines: Space is limited; first serve basis. No use of membership passes.
- All Students must be accompanied by a registered adult through PayPal.
- Note: If you have multiple Homeschool students, each Homeschool student must be registered for all Field Trips using their own designated flex fund account. Any duplicate orders for the same field trip on one student’s account will not be allowed.
- Field Trip Photography Disclaimer: “Please be advised that photographs will be taken at this event for possible use on the SCS website, marketing materials, and/or all other SCS publications. If you do not want you or your child to be photographed please advise the Field Trip Coordinator.
- How to Cancel: Forward your registration confirmation email receipt to field.trips@springscs.org with a detailed notation to cancel by the deadline date indicated on each field trip.
