Ignite a love for minerals and gems in youngsters with the GemKids Program™ – a dazzling introduction to gemology.
During this program, students will be introduced to some of nature’s most beautiful creations. Get a glimpse into how gems form, how they are crafted into beautiful objects, and get a sneak peek into the history of some of the world’s rarest treasures.
Gems can reveal the history of our planet, lead to conversations about the intersecting worlds of business and culture, and help students understand the changing definitions of beauty and value.
Students will learn about:
- How gems form in the natural environment
- How people labor to bring them into use
- How civilizations have valued gems throughout time
- How ethics guide the field today and into the future
Important Information:
- No late registrations or refunds will be processed after the closing date. No Exceptions
- Special Guidelines: No use of membership passes. Space is limited, first, serve.
- One adult per Homeschool family
- All Students must be accompanied by a registered adult.
- Note: If you have multiple Homeschool students, each Homeschool student must be registered for all Field Trips using their own designated flex fund account. Any duplicate orders for the same field trip on one student’s account will not be allowed.
