Davey’s Locker Whale Watching strives to share the love of marine life with the public to spread greater awareness of cetaceans and environmental stewardship of the ocean. Newport Landing provides a year-round comprehensive learning experience with an enjoyable, educational, and engaging curriculum designed around the California State Board of Education’s standards for learning.
Be part of a fun, educational, and wildly exciting trip and experience!
The day begins with an informative presentation. Families will then board “The Ocean Explorer,” a safe and insured vessel to potentially view whales, dolphins, sea lions, and marine birds. Knowledgeable crew members on the boat will provide information and answer questions about the sightings, ship, and other related aquatic life. In addition: An onboard Marine Science Naturalist will be with students on deck, answering questions, passing around authentic marine mammal artifacts, and adding educational information to enrich the cruise. You will not want to miss the fantastic opportunity of getting out to sea!
