Vondella McCombs

Education Specialist

Education

I have over 20 years of educational experience and have served within a variety of settings, including non-public, traditional public, and charter schools. In addition to teaching grades K-6 in a traditional elementary classroom, I taught grades 7-12 in a juvenile group home setting, was an inner-city bilingual classroom teacher, and worked as an elementary reading lab instructor. Within my 13 years of charter school experience, I have served as an education specialist, ES mentor & trainer, intake advisor, and ES advisor. I have been a homeschooling parent for the last decade and along with being an ES, currently homeschool all four of my children who are enrolled in Springs at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.Through close collaboration with students and their parents, I embrace the importance of providing an individualized learning environment to help students explore their natural curiosity and achieve success.
