Education

I have a BA in Arts and Design (in Spanish). I am also certified as a translator and hold a proficiency certificate in English, both from Sydney University. I taught English in various schools in Barcelona, Spain and taught Spanish in Sydney, Australia. I have been teaching for over 20 years to all age groups, from preschoolers, through Elementary, Middle School and High School age students to adults in Community Colleges. This is my second school year at Springs and I am very exited to continue with our Spanish Immersion Program in Elementary and Middle School.

Favorite Hobbies

I enjoy cooking for friends and family, traveling to non-touristic places, reading about inventions, feeding my chickens and watching the sun set over the mountains.

Favorite Books

History books, Scientific America magazine and National Geographic magazine.

Favorite Subject

My favorite subjects at school were languages, history and art.

Fun Facts

I was born in Spain but was raised in Australia during most of my teen years. This has given me a very interesting accent and it throws people off when I start to speak Spanish with my native accent. I have recently turned into a chicken owner which is a lot of fun and I have a couple of terriers which are very cheeky.
