Academy Teacher
I hold a B.A. in Liberal Studies with a concentration in reading, language, and literature. Before earning my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, I worked as a tutor, childcare provider, and substitute teacher.
I enjoy cooking and gardening. I also love to travel with my family, especially when it involves taking a roadtrip to explore new sites and scenery!
I enjoyed reading The Giver, by Lois Lowry and Where the Mountain Meets the Moon, by Grace Lin with my students.
My favorite subject was Language Arts because I viewed writing as a pathway for organizing and communicating my thoughts. My teachers helped me develop reading and writing strategies in ELA that allowed me to be more confident in other subjects.
I have traveled to seven different countries!
