I taught 5th grade for 2 years and a 4/5 combo class my most recent year of teaching. During my 3 years of teaching I built such meaningful relationships with my students. Building deep relationships with my students makes for the best classroom recipe.
I can be that person that loves to cuddle up on the couch by the fire with a good book in hand and coffee near by, but I can also be that person that loves to go on outdoor adventures that include hiking, going to the beach, or eating out somewhere.
I am an avid reader and some of my favorite books are Wonder by R.J. Palacio and Prisoner b-3087 by Alan Gratz. Books like these, that tell a captivating story and hook me in from the beginning, are my absolute favorite.
My favorite subject when I was in elementary school was reading. I loved getting lost in the story and “going away” to a make believe place. I also loved befriending the characters in the story and imagining I was there with them.
One of my favorite companions is Angel, my 85 pound Doberman. I am a foster mama. I love cooking and trying different recipes. I’m also content just staying inside and watching a good movie.
