Industry Experience:
Kinesiology- Part of a research team in human exercise physiology and also in physician education. Personal trainer for 10+ years. Coaching and small group training for 10+ years. Planning and leading large group physical activities in an after school and summer camp setting for 8+ years. Taught PE at Springs before moving to CTE.
Medical- Experience working in occupational therapy helping rehabilitate patients who incurred injuries due to illness, disorder, stroke, and accident. I also have medical office experience.
Why I Teach CTE:
I wish I would have had the opportunity to take CTE classes when I was in high school. This is a great opportunity for students and I am excited to be able to help give them that opportunity.
I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University and a Medical Assisting Certification from San Joaquin Valley College. I have two Career Technical Education teaching credentials in the following pathways: Health Science & Medical Technology and Education, Child Development, & Family Services.
I have worked in the Education industry for 12+ years.
Spending my time at the beach, exploring tide pools, swimming in the ocean, body surfing, kayaking, and paddle boarding

I hiked Half Dome in Yosemite at age 10 and again at age 28
