Beverly Voechting

Director of High School Programs

Education

I studied medical microbiology and clinical chemistry in college. I also have a Masters of Arts degree in Educational Leadership. I began my career teaching high school science courses. This led to training adults in medical and crime laboratories all over the United States, mostly DNA testing, cloning, and blood chemistries.

Then I became a homeschool parent and organizer. I homeschooled my children until they were in eighth grade and created learning opportunities for fifty other families. Lastly, I taught PE, computer lab, science lab and 7th and 8th-grade science at a local charter school. I have written STEAM-integrated curriculum and charter petitions.

I earned Wal-Mart’s Teacher of the Year Award and garnered many thousand dollars from writing grants. My last few years have been in administration. I have created systems for teachers to improve their practice and increase student achievement.
