From the Superintendent: Two Ribbon Cuttings

It was my great pleasure to participate in two ribbon-cutting ceremonies in November at our two newest Springs student centers, the Del Rio Student Center in Perris and the Renaissance Valley Academy (RVA) in San Jacinto. The Del Rio ribbon cutting was held in conjunction with its Harvest Festival; see the article below for details or click here to read more about the Del Rio Center.

In November, we opened a new facility for our Hemet Student Center, called the Renaissance Valley Academy, at 1091 W. Esplanade, San Jacinto. Nikia Hovey is serving as principal, and it serves grades 6-12.  Our special guests for the RVA ribbon-cutting included San Jacinto Mayor Russell Utz, who shared his thoughts about the beneficial effects charter schools have on the local community, and Dr. Corey Loomis of the Riverside County Office of Education.

My thanks to all who turned out for these events, as well as to those who organized them.  We look forward to great accomplishments at both these new centers!  And, as our winter break approaches, let me wish you a Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukkah, and good wishes for any other holiday you will be celebrating.  Thank you for making Springs your charter school of choice!
