The Hemet Student Center kicked off its school year with its first annual Mix It Up, a week of collaborating, building character, and team building, reported Nikia Hovey, principal.
All grades and the staff participated. “It was great,” said Ms. Hovey. “We had a few logistical kinks, but overall the students enjoyed the week and it alleviated the stress of returning to or entering high school for the first time.” She said Mix It Up will return next year, and added, “All schools should consider doing this.”
