Academy Teacher
I have been teaching for nine years and have worked as a teacher in many different capacities. I have successfully worked with students as a reading and intervention specialist, as well as a classroom teacher in kindergarten, fifth and fourth grades. I graduated from California State University, San Marcos with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies, a minor in Visual and Performing Arts, and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. In 2009 and 2010 I earned a Reading Certificate and a Reading and Language Arts Specialist Credential. I also received a Master of Education in Reading Instruction from the University of CA, Riverside. I understand the importance of a positive and safe learning environment which enables students to feel confident and be successful learners. I believe that all students are capable and respect each child’s learning style and differences.
