Windmills are an iconic feature of the Palm Springs area and is an educational and fun experience while learning the history of the renewable energy industry.
Wind power is the use of air flow through wind turbines to mechanically power gernerators for electricity. Wind power, as an alternative to buring fossil fuel, is plentiful, renewable, clean way to generate electricity without producing greenhouse gas emissions during operation.
To learn more…join us as we head outdoors to learn the history of the Windmill Farm. Discover the various restored exhibits of historical windmills and the newest technology in wind power generations. As we go behind the fences onto private grounds and walk through the implement yard you will get an up close view of a windmill to see the majestic size.
Important Information:
- No late registrations or refunds will be processed after the closing date. No Exceptions
- Special Guidelines: Space is limited; first serve basis. No use of membership/passes.
- Adult registration limited to one per homeschool family
- Length of program: Approximately 2 hours
- All Students must be accompanied by a registered adult through PayPal.
- Note: If you have multiple Homeschool students, each Homeschool student must be registered for all Field Trips using their own designated flex fund account. Any duplicate orders for the same field trip on one student’s account will not be allowed.
- Field Trip Photography Disclaimer: Please be advised that photographs will be taken at this event for possible use on the SCS website, marketing materials, and/or all other SCS publications. If you do not want you or your child to be photographed please advise the Field Trip Coordinator.
- How to Cancel: Forward your registration confirmation email receipt to field.trips@springscs.org with a detailed notation to cancel by the deadline date indicated on each field trip.
