The La Brea Tar Pits are making some MAMMOTH changes to their Homeschool Days this year!
Join us at the La Brea Tar Pits for extended programming opportunities (10 am to 4 pm!), brand new events exclusively for Homeschoolers, and some of their classic La Brea Tar Pits experiences.
Catch a special screening of Titans of the Ice Age 2D with an exclusive Q&A with one of their scientists, create some herbivore decor inspired by their Pleistocene garden, check out their Exploration Station with fossil casts, and more!
LUNCH & SNACK
You may bring a lunch safely secured in a backpack, however, they ask that all food (except water and baby formula) be consumed outside the facility. You are invited to picnic in Hancock Park, or on the picnic benches in front of the museum. You will also notice lots of restaurants right nearby on Wilshire Boulevard.
Important Information:
- No late registrations or refunds will be processed after the closing date. No Exceptions
- No use of membership passes.
- Recommended for grades TK-8th, however open to all ages.
- Program ends at 4:00 p.m.
- All Students must be accompanied by a registered adult.
- Note: If you have multiple Homeschool students, each Homeschool student must be registered for all Field Trips using their own designated flex fund account. Any duplicate orders for the same field trip on one student’s account will not be allowed.
- Field Trip Photography Disclaimer: “Please be advised that photographs will be taken at this event for possible use on the SCS website, marketing materials, and/or all other SCS publications. If you do not want you or your child to be photographed please advise the Field Trip Coordinator.
- How to Cancel: Forward your registration confirmation email receipt to field.trips@springscs.org with a detailed notation to cancel by the deadline date indicated on each field trip.
