Balboa Park is a special place for families to spend time together. Kids crazy about cars, trains, and planes, dinosaurs, planets, sports, art, flowers, and animals will all find something to savor during a day in the Park.
Balboa Park offers so many different adventures for families and students. With a variety of museums and attractions and 1,200 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, there is something for everyone to enjoy together. Admission to the Museums and Science Center (only those shown below) is included on this field trip program.
- Reuben H. Fleet Science Center: The Reuben H. Fleet Science Center has more than 100 “do-touch” exhibits that students can ignite their interest in science. Science has never been so much fun. Does not include the IMAX Theater
- San Diego Museum of Natural history: Take a journey around the world through time as students explore Biodiversity and Environmental Halls; Fossil Hall and Earth and Planetary Sciences within the San Diego Museum of Natural History. Included in your self-guided tour is the new exhibit ULTIMATE DINOSAURS a fascinating study of species you haven’t met before. Also included is Theatre admission for a film viewing.
- San Diego Museum of Man: The San Diego Museum of Man offers exciting exhibits where students can learn about Ancient Egypt; view inspiring replicas of majestic Maya monuments; and explore the indigenous culture of San Diego’s Kumeyaay people.

- No late registrations or refunds will be processed after the closing date. No Exceptions
- Special Guidelines: No use of membership passes. Space is limited, first serve.

- The day begins at the Ruben H. Fleet Center
- All Students must be accompanied by a registered adult.
- Note: If you have multiple Homeschool students, each Homeschool student must be registered for all Field Trips using their own designated flex fund account. Any duplicate orders for the same field trip on one student’s account will not be allowed.
- Field Trip Photography Disclaimer: “Please be advised that photographs will be taken at this event for possible use on the SCS website, marketing materials, and/or all other SCS publications. If you do not want you or your child to be photographed please advise the Field Trip Coordinator.
- How to Cancel: Forward your registration confirmation email receipt to field.trips@springscs.org with a detailed notation to cancel by the deadline date indicated on each field trip.
