Venture Online Academy senior Alexis Halley has been named a Murrieta Chamber of Commerce Student of the Month. Alexis, age 17, is maintaining a 4.0 GPA and when she graduates she plans to attend Palomar Community College and study mechanical engineering.
Venture has been a good choice, she said, because “I needed an environment in which I could go at my own pace and study different subjects.” Alexis grew up riding horses, making music, and skateboarding. She has a passion to build things and create; she said a career in mechanical engineering is a definite possibility for her.
