“My line of interest lies in legal work,” she said.  “This was a really great achievement for me, coming from a high school student who has a large interest in becoming a lawyer.”
Abigail’s duties have included greeting clients, bookkeeping, updating corporate files and sorting discover correspondence between lawyers.
She worked for a full day twice weekly, and upon completion of her internship was offered a job.
Abigail attended the Mosaic program for middle school before coming to KEYS.  She chose KEYS over traditional high school, she said, because “It felt like I went to class and did pointless work to keep me busy, like crosswords and color worksheets.  Here I do work that is necessary to help me learn, boycotting the ‘busy-work’ I received in traditional high school.”
Her favorite subject is English, she said, “because I love to write, debate and read.”  Other interests include travel and going to concerts.
