Springs Charter Schools: Flexible Education for Challenging Times
In response to the school closures brought on by the coronavirus pandemic, Springs Charter Schools quickly expanded their online learning expertise to create OPEN CLASSROOM, a free, fully online program available to families worldwide. Building on their existing online learning programs and their experience offering a variety of educational options—from five-days-a-week in-person attendance to blended learning and full-time homeschooling—Springs successfully launched Open Classroom in 2020.
Since its inception, more than 10,000 students across 17 countries have signed up to take advantage of this program, which includes weekly video lessons by credentialed teachers, assignments, and answer keys for grades K-12.
Today, Open Classroom remains a vital resource for families during any disruption to regular schooling, whether due to natural disasters like California wildfires, global emergencies, or other unique circumstances.
