Vista Student Center Welcomes New Principal

Kim Bagby is the new principal of the Vista Student Center. She previously worked in the education field in her native Michigan. In three schools with which she worked, she was responsible for curriculum mapping and planning and aligning it to standards, ultimately resulting in higher levels of student achievement.

Vista Students Learn about DNA, Clouds

Students in teacher Amy Heald’s class at Springs Charter Schools’ Vista Student Center created models of the DNA helix using sticks and gummy bears. Students in teacher Jessica Stickel’s class studied the clouds.

La Fuente Immersion Program Grows

July 12, 2022

The La Fuente program at the Vista Student Center is anticipating significant growth in the 2022-23 school year, reported Sarah Adams, principal. The La Fuente program is a dual language, Spanish-English immersion program for grades TK-8. It served 200 during the past school year, with anticipated growth to 225 to 240 students in 2022-23. It is one of four programs offered at the Vista site.

Vista Enjoys “Day of Play”

The Vista Student Center students continued with Springs’ theme of play for this school year by enjoying a “Day of Play.” Parents Molly Elkins and Liz DeGeronimo organized and led a variety of outdoor activities and games for children of all grade levels.
