Venture Online 1st grade student Westley Beyer is developing an encyclopedic knowledge of space and is an astronomer in the making. At age 3, he developed an interest in space after watching Toy Story and becoming fascinated with Buzz Lightyear. He studied extensively, and three years later, as Westley was taking his 1st grade test in reading and math, he proceeded to teach his 1st grade Venture Online teacher all about Saturn’s rain, lightning on the moon, the Arcturus, the tornado on the sun’s north pole and the gas giant, Jupiter.
In his free time, Westley’s favorite thing to do is to use his telescope to find Saturn, the moon, binary stars, and Jupiter.
In other Venture Online news, the school welcomed Ramona Sentinel reporter Noah Harrel for its virtual speaker series. Noah shared about his work in the media, and what led him to that role. Students had the opportunity to ask questions about his work.
