Springs Charter Schools’ Temecula Student Center will present Teens & Tech, a discussion for parents on how to keep their teenage children safe from threats that can come through the internet, on Thursday, January 25, 6 – 7:30 p.m. in the Center’s multi-purpose building, 43040 Margarita Road, Temecula.
The featured speaker will be Jon Moffat, who developed the Cyber Advocate Program to help schools raise awareness about cyber harassment. “We wanted to offer some helpful advice to parents about keeping their teens safe when they use technology devices,” said Benjamin Taylor, principal of the Temecula Student Center.
Topics to be covered include learning about Instagram, Snapchat and Musically; communicating with teens about technology; the latest trends with teens in the community; protecting your teen from the latest phone apps; setting boundaries with your teen in the digital world, and checking privacy settings on your teen’s profile.
There is no cost to attend; participation is open to all parents, whether or not they are parents of Springs students. RSVP here or email Benjamin.Taylor@springscs.org.
