Students joined the seniors for lunch afterwards and promoted FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics and STEM education.
Comments by the grateful seniors after the event included: “The program made me feel happy and alive again. Lots of fun had by all … Invigorated by the young delightful people … One special young man was funny, jumping around the robot as we inexperienced seniors were driving. He was protecting the viewers from any possible harm. He was full of fun and lots of laughs for us … The opportunity to put our hands on the robot project and make it respond to our wish was delightful and exciting …”
