Jaylene Rosales, age 18, has graduated from River Springs Charter School’s Renaissance program in Temecula, Class of 2015, and plans to pursue a career as a vet tech working for an animal hospital.
The Temecula resident will attend Carrington College and study science and veterinary technology.
Jaylene took advantage of the school’s internship program to work for two years at Lake Elsinore Animal Hospital, which helped her develop her career choice. She said, “It gave me hands-on training in a field about which I am passionate.”
She also believes the experience will help her find a job in the field once she finishes school.
Jaylene joined the Renaissance program in her freshman year of high school. It’s been a good fit, she said: “I love the staff and my teachers. I’ve always felt right at home. It’s sad to leave my home at River Springs, but I’m moving on to the future for which they’ve prepared me.”
