The National Academy of Future Physicians has named Rebecca Blythe a delegate representing River Springs Charter School and the State of California at the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Boston in June. Rebecca is a 12th grade student at Flabob Airport Preparatory Academy in Riverside.
The Congress honors “academically superior high school students dedicated to the service of humanity through medicine.” Rebecca was chosen to be a delegate because of her high GPA, leadership potential and interest in the medical field.
Attending the Congress will give Rebecca the opportunity to meet prominent members of the medical profession, including Nobel Prize winners, medical school deans and inventors and scientists. She will also have the opportunity to observe surgery in progress, and ask the surgeon questions. At the close of the Congress, she will receive a National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists Award of Excellence.
