Magnolia Teen Marks 10 Years as a Scout

Atticus Leveck, 16, a 10th-grade student at Springs’ Magnolia Student Center, is celebrating his 10th anniversary as part of the Scouts BSA.  He first joined as a Tiger Cub Scout at age 6, his mother Anastasia said, because “he has always loved the outdoors and hands-on experiences.” Continue reading

Mosaic Academy Family Active in Podcasting

The Riverside Student Center’s Aiden and Cassandra Donovan come from an exciting family of broadcaster/podcasters. Their parents, Chris and Evelyn, are involved in the industry themselves, and Aiden launched his own podcast, Aiden’s Arcade Academy, last fall. Aiden reviews video games, father Chris said, and “he really impresses us with some of the info he has stored in his brain.”  Shows are less than 10 minutes long; he also has a YouTube Channel, The Boy Aiden. RVA Shows Significant Gains in Reading Scores

The 7th and 8th-grade classes of Springs’ Renaissance Valley Academy (RVA) in San Jacinto have made significant gains in reading during the school year.  Seventy-seven students have been assessed and reflected an average annual growth of 50% among students. Continue reading
