What is the PSAT/NMSQT?

The PSAT/NMSQT is a preliminary version of the SAT. The PSAT/NMSQT uses scores to find eligible students for the National Merit Scholarship Program but also to prepare for the SAT taken in senior year, the PSAT is great practice for the SAT in a way that makes sense for your student’s grade level.

Most students take the PSAT/NMSQT during their junior year, only scores from the PSAT taken in your junior year are considered for the National Merit Scholarship competition.
