Otay Ranch Academy for the Arts (ORAA) substitute teacher Dametrius Bedgood is a published author who has released Voices of the Mindiverse, a new book featuring selections of ORAA students he tutors after school, reported Site Facilitator Tami Foster.
Parent Giannina Ortiz’s daughter, Camila, is in the 4th grade and is tutored by Dametrius; her work was selected to be in the book. Giannina said she is “fortunate” to have her daughter tutored by him and is “inspired” to continue to write. Dametrius has written a variety of books, including the 2021 poetry book Suspended Animation.
