Springs’ Hemet Quest Student Center held a Surprise Attendance Day during which students were given the opportunity to dunk the principal and members of the teaching staff in water, reported Principal Eric Ballard. He said, “The kids absolutely loved it, and there were so many smiles. Students were cheering each other on. It was a great community-building event as well.”
Surprise Attendance Days are held at random to encourage students to attend class. Eric explained, “They never know when a surprise attendance day will happen. When it does, they will get to do a fun activity or receive a treat of some sort.” The school is currently serving 573 students in grades TK-5.
