Springs Charter Schools is opening a new Learning Center for homeschool students in its La Fuente Student Center, 1985 Peacock Blvd., Oceanside.
The center will give students the opportunity to take enrichment workshops such as drawing and painting and hands-on science. Classes will begin with the second semester, and will be available for purchase on Bookmart in mid-December.
“The new Learning Center will start out as a small community of students and families, with small class sizes and easy drop-off and pick-up,” said Marla Hart Martindale. “We’re excited about opening this new center, as it will make our workshops more accessible to our families in the north San Diego area.”
Although in a homeschool program students take classes at home at their own pace, the enrichment workshops offer them the opportunity to enhance their education and interact with other homeschool students.
