Cherry Valley Student Center is planning major improvements to its campus, including adding six classrooms, a main office, staff parking, an outdoor gathering area/classrooms, and an outdoor performing arts center. The improvements will enable the center to better serve the needs of students as the school population grows, reported Principal Tammy Slaten.
The school began its first year with 55 students; as it starts its seventh year of existence it is serving 177 academy students, 110 learning center students, and 50 KEYS high school students. The lack of facility space has inhibited additional growth; the improvements will enable the school to accept additional students.
