I hope you are enjoying your summer break! As you go about your summer fun, please make time to join us for our 16th annual Springs Charter Schools Parent Ignite! Conferencehappening at your choice of two locations on either August 20 or August 22. Our Ignite! Conference is designed to be an inspiring day of learning for parents before the school year begins; our theme for the new school year is There’s No Place Like Springs!
Featured speakers will include Survivor TV show contestant Gillian Larson, homeschool moms and YouTubers DeeDee Whitley and Ximena Avalos, who call themselves “Chips and Salsa,” and myself. This year, due to space constraints, both events are for parents only (with the exception of moms with nursing babies).
The first conference will be held Tuesday, August 20, 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Riverside Convention Center, 3637 Fifth Street, Riverside. Click here to register. The day will be repeated on Thursday, August 22, 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Centerpoint Church, 24470 Washington Avenue, Murrieta. Click here to register. There is no cost to attend, but I’d suggest you register now, as seating is limited and will fill up quickly.
Our Ignite! Conferences are always a lot of fun, and are a great opportunity to meet other Springs families, so I hope to see you there.

Also, I’d like to take this opportunity to recognize the fine work of Robin Harness, one of our special education teachers. One of our parents wrote us at the end of the school year to say that Robin as been a “blessing” to her son, a 6th grade student with us since kindergarten, and “has been the most thoughtful, experienced and encouraging resource teacher he has had! I just wanted to let you know what a gem you have. We are so appreciative of her hard work and you hiring her.”
