Venture 9th-grade student Elizabeth Turner is a talented figure skater. She has been taking lessons and plans to participate in her first performance in December. The flexibility of the Venture program has allowed her to train. Elizabeth joined the Venture program this school year and has been bringing home good grades. After college, she hopes to work as a psychiatrist.

Venture Online 4th-grade student Summer Bityk (pictured with rapper Pitbull) is a budding young businesswoman. Three years ago, she launched Summer Bling, a business that sells such items as bracelets, headbands, necklaces, and rings. She noted, “This year, I learned to sew and have started adding sewn items to my business.”

Venture Online 10th grade student Abe Wilson earned first place in the “Senior Division: Depth of Knowledge” category of the Springs Speech Meet. His presentation stood out for its insight, clarity, and thoughtful engagement with complex ideas, showcasing not only his strong communication skills but also his deep understanding of the topic, according to his teacher, Grahme Smith. Abe is a straight-A student who is taking both college and coding classes. He also serves on the Venture Advisory Committee.

She’s consistently earned top-five finishes in her recent competitions, and her skill and dedication have earned her a range of awards, from gadgets to saddles and buckles. Grace Mansell is an 8th grade Venture student whose parents have bought a motorhome to take the family on trips to visit national parks across the U.S. Her favorite so far has been a visit to Glacier National Park in Montana. Grace recalled, “It was so beautiful there, with crystal clear lakes, and towering mountains.”

Springs Venture Online sophomore Leonardo Lopez aspires to be a commercial pilot. He started his aviation career at age 8 taking simulator classes and today flies alongside instructors. He is a member of the Civilian Air Patrol and has the rank of Cadet Airman First Class.
