Venture Online senior Alyssa Marchant is a gifted rodeo horseback rider. She’s consistently earned top-five finishes in her recent competitions, and her skill and dedication have earned her a range of awards, from gadgets to saddles and buckles. Currently, she’s in 4th place for year-end awards with her competition team.

Agastya Yadav, a Venture Online 2nd-grade student working at the 4th-grade level, won first place in the Chess Federation (USCF) Rated Championship game, winning all games in his categories. Grace Mansell is an 8th grade Venture student whose parents have bought a motorhome to take the family on trips to visit national parks across the U.S. Her favorite so far has been a visit to Glacier National Park in Montana. Grace recalled, “It was so beautiful there, with crystal clear lakes, and towering mountains.”

Springs Venture Online sophomore Leonardo Lopez aspires to be a commercial pilot. He started his aviation career at age 8 taking simulator classes and today flies alongside instructors. He is a member of the Civilian Air Patrol and has the rank of Cadet Airman First Class.

Ava Radach, an 8th-grade student in Springs’ Venture Online program, is a successful competitive dancer who trains 14 hours per week and earns straight A’s. Ava, 14, is part of the Temecula Dance Company and began dancing at age six. She trains in ballet, jazz, tap, musical theater, and her two favorites, contemporary and hip hop.

Joshua Harrington is a budding jiu-jitsu star who is also a 5th grade student in Springs’ Venture Online program. He began with jiu-jitsu at age 5 and has come to like it because “I learn how to fight, defend myself, get stronger, faster, and be brave enough to do tournaments with my dad.” He currently trains daily with his father.

She is taking a heavy load of classes to earn to ensure she graduates on time and has found Venture has offered the right mix of flexibility and discipline that has enabled her to get back on track for graduation.
