Springs’ Virtual Village kicked off the school year with a full week of connection, celebration, and school spirit designed to bring online learners and families together, reported Program Facilitator Karina Miranda.
The festivities began with a Back to School Night, giving families a chance to connect with staff and preview the upcoming academic year. Throughout the week, virtual classrooms stayed lively with themed Spirit Days, including a Crazy Hat Day that showcased student creativity and the popular “Bring Your Pet to School Day,” where students introduced their pets to classmates during live online sessions.
Miranda noted that these opening-week events highlight a core strength of the Virtual Village model: demonstrating that learning online doesn’t mean learning in isolation. By creating intentional opportunities for shared experiences and peer connection, Virtual Village continues to build a strong, supportive online community where students can thrive together.
