Venture Rodeo Rider Pursues Education Career, 8th Grade Finance Lesson

Venture Online senior Alyssa Marchant is a gifted rodeo horseback rider. She’s consistently earned top-five finishes in her recent competitions, and her skill and dedication have earned her a range of awards, from gadgets to saddles and buckles. Currently, she’s in 4th place for year-end awards with her competition team.

She had previously struggled academically, but the Venture Online program has helped her grow into a strong student. She plans on attending Grand Canyon University, and plans on pursuing a career in elementary education.

In other Venture Online news, 8th-grade students enjoyed “Sweet Savings,” a personal finance lesson themed to St. Valentine’s Day. Students learned about opportunity cost, the law of supply and demand, prioritizing financial goals, and how one’s values guide saving and spending habits.
