Hayden Poe, 13, a Riverside Mosaic student in the 8th grade, excels at baseball.

He plays both travel ball and little league. He pitches, catches and plays first base. He practices or has a game four times a week. He hopes one day to be a sports writer.
His mother, Shelly, said, “He loves baseball and is a pretty great player.”
Hayden’s favorite professional baseball player is Derek Jeter. He admires the former New York Yankee, he said, “because he played baseball with respect. Even though he was one of the best players, he didn’t act that way.”
He also plays basketball.
Hayden lives in Eastvale and has been a Springs student since 4th grade. His favorite subjects are math and language arts. Springs has been a good fit for him: “I love Springs because of the personalization. I can learn how I want to learn.”
